Reflections No.2 by Tony Skinner (1960-)
 This piece by Britisah guitarist and music educator Tony Skinner, is from his suite Reflections – Five Pieces For Guitar. The tempo for the opening 13 bars should not be strict, and there is much room for the use of carefully considered rubato in order to capture the misterioso mood of this section. Notes should be held on to form chord shapes wherever possible. This applies throughout the piece, but particularly in bar 14 an 21. From bar 22 onwards, the 1st string melody notes (shown with upward stems) should be sounded strongly and clearly, but without the use of rest strokes. |
