Shifting/Glissando
1) Keep your eyes ahead of your hands. If you choose to watch your left hand, let your eyes target shifting points well ahead of your fingers. Eventually, try it without looking a the fingerboard. See if you can feel the shifts.
2) The Glissando section is quite difficult especially in measure 10, If playing the glissando from the E to the B on the first string is too radical for you, feel free to re-finger the B on the second string with a two-string bar and play that passage in twelfth position.
3) When working at a slow tempo, I have found it very useful to prepare the right hand finger prior to a shift.
4) Dont rush the note prior to the shift. A good way of working on the is to play the study with dotted rhythms (both ways) or to play with it evenly with a metronome clicking on the last sixteenth note instead of the downbeat.
