Las Hachas by Gaspar Sanz

Las Hachas by Gaspar Sanz (1640 – 1710)
Grade 1– Beginner

Gaspar Sanz Gaspar Sanz was an Aragonese composer, guitarist, organist and priest born to a wealthy family in Calanda in the Spanish comarca of Bajo Aragón. He studied music, theology and philosophy at the University of Salamanca, where he was later appointed Professor of Music.

Notes
8 Bars. No Barred chords. Several note and chord suspension. Bar[5] has a series of right hand (mimi) on one string. Bar[6] has a series of thumb bass notes on a single string. Las Hachas or the sword is not a difficult piece to learn. I find it a good warn up song being a short 8 bar song that uses pima for the right hand.
